    Deborah Jane Hill

    Training, qualifications & experience

    I am a professionally qualified and experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Counsellor trained to Master Level. I am also an accredited member of BACP. After graduating in Psychology with a BSc (Hon), I undertook 6 years Post Graduate professional training in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of London. I have 14 years clinical experience working in private practice in London and Somerset, seeing individuals and couples and as a Psychotherapist in the outpatient psychotherapy department of a large NHS London mental health hospital.
    Prior to my clinical training I worked for a number of years at various management levels in charitable and corporate organisations within the public and private sectors. I have also been employed as a telephone counselling assessor for an employee assistance provider.
    I work full-time in my private practice in Spaxton, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA5 1BS and Covent Garden London WC2E.  I see individuals for long and short term psychotherapy and counselling, and couples for couples counselling or psychosexual counselling. I also provide supervision to counsellors and I provide short term psychological interventions to clients from employee assistance providers and other organisations. I also provide telephone counselling to national and international clients.

    BSc (Hons) Psychology, (including cognitive psychology for emotional disorders and cognitive neuropsychology)
    PG Dip Clinical Hypnotherapy
    PG Cert in Psychodynamic Counselling in organisations and work settings
    PG Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy
    MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy
    PG Cert in Psychosexual Studies: Understanding the sexual relationship

    CONTINUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

    I am committed to continual professional development and have further training in:
